About Iron Workers Local Union No. 201
First chartered in 1917, Local 201 encompasses 20 counties throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. We are more than 430-members strong who are well-trained and ready to work with and for our signatory contractors.
You’ll find our work at the heart of a building’s structure. Our members place the reinforcing steel in the concrete structural of buildings and are essential in other projects, such as bridges, power plants, stadiums and some of Washington’s memorials. Our skill set includes welding and rigging - all taught by certified instructors in our training facility.
Local 201 uses its special skill set to give back to the community, donating time and labor to projects throughout the region.
